This little 1930s camp haven, named after the Rainbow Trail--which connects the property to the Mid-State Trail--is located within the amazing Rothrock State Forest, about 35 minutes from State College, 2 miles to the Little Juniata River and just one-mile hike to the Mid-State Trail. This rustic, sweet log cabin is situated on acres of leased land and offers privacy with the nearest neighbor mile away. Owners and visitors love the outside wraparound covered porch, a delightful way to unwind, enjoy wildlife, outdoor dining and, yes, sleeping. Within, find a spacious kitchen/dining area with large table, a generous living room with wood-burning fireplace and a practical full bath. Ascend to the loft and discover plenty of sleeping space, lots of windows and two skylights. Propane fuels a large stove/range, refrigerator, hot water heater and lamps. Gravity-fed water is provided from a mountain spring. Lease is $200/year.
