Congratulations are in order – you’ve purchased your first home! Now you get to make the house a home with one of the biggest interior design projects of your life. Filling the rooms of your new house may be a bigger feat than you’re prepared for. While you’re focused on big furniture investments, the odds are good that smaller household essentials have completely slipped your mind. We are here to help with a list of household essentials broken down by room that you can bring with you on your next frantic shopping run:

Kitchen

You’re finally standing in the kitchen of your dreams. You whip up a batch of cookies to fill the new home with a warm, welcoming scent. The timer dings, you head to the oven to pull out the yummy treats, but when you reach for the oven mitt-there isn’t one. No dish towels, either. Don’t let the cookies burn, be prepared. Garage

Life will be easier if you don’t have to ask around for a spare nail after things fall off the wall.

Bathroom

Living Room
